Alisha is a lawyer, trained mediator and restorative justice facilitator, program evaluator, social science researcher, and policy analyst. Drawing on over a decade of experience, Alisha uses evidence-based strategies and data analytics to identify and resolve programmatic problems that translate into organizational policy change. Alisha discovered her passion for DEI following several consultation opportunities with non-profit organizations, research and policy organizations, and government agencies.
Alisha has developed agency specific trainings, established agency databases, and data protocols for continuous organizational improvement. Her knowledge in qualitative and quantitative methods provides a strong foundation for evaluating program effectiveness and outcomes, and generating policies that support long-term organizational growth. Today, Alisha helps growing organizations achieve their maximum potential by identifying and limiting barriers to an inclusive workplace. Outside of her role at IDEA Consulting Alisha currently serves as an associate attorney at a small local firm practicing in the areas of immigration law, criminal law, family law and juvenile law.
Alisha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish from Saint Louis University, a Master of Arts in Social Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Law. She is a Doctoral candidate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where her research focuses on the role of race and ethnicity in legal decision-making. Over the course of her career, Alisha has taught courses in introductory psychology and the psychology of diversity, and has guest lectured on topics related to juvenile justice and legal decision-making.
