Hazel is a multi-skilled researcher with cross-disciplinary knowledge in social-psychological concepts, research methodology, and multicultural issues. She has produced peer-reviewed scientific papers, government reports, statistical data trend reports and evaluations. Her work has been presented at numerous conferences and is often cited in new research. She won competitive funding from the National Science Foundation to support her research and received the UNL Levine Diversity Enhancement award among other research awards.
As the Director of the Nebraska Supreme Court’s new Research and Data Division, Delgado is responsible for developing a strategy for branch-wide data and research initiatives. She has experience in program evaluation, evidence-based practice implementation, and project development. She is a passionate advocate of improving system responses for historically marginalized groups.
As a founder of IDEA Consulting, Delgado provides critical evaluations that are always conveyed in an encouraging manner. She has taught multiple courses at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (e.g. Psychology of Diversity) and runs instructional workshops for various professionals.
Hazel is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she received her Master’s Degree in Psychology. She has also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies at the University of Texas at El Paso with honors. She is a passionate advocate of improving system responses for underprivileged and historically disadvantaged groups.
